We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Mott-McKamey Funeral Home and Cremations
Larry Wayne (Papaw) Douglas, age 69, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee was called home to be with our Lord on Wednesday August 3, 2022. He loved to sing and play guitar and he attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Oak Ridge where he was sworn in as a Deacon of the church.

Preceded in death by his parents William ‘Cecil’ and Frances Douglas, his wife of 47 years Rose Marie Douglas, sister Shirley Ann Larmer, brother Donald Ray Douglas, dear friend Robert Rice and dear friend Margie Lowe, as well as several other family members and close friends.
He is survived by his children Mary (Nihal) Zaki, Elizabeth (Lewis) McCrary, Mark Douglas (Martha Hastings), brother Bill, sisters Pat, Peggy and Linda, grandchildren Kaitlyn (Ariel), Michael, Jonathyn (Rita), Coby, Heaven, Lacey, Autumn, Anthony & Nichole, MacKenzie, Aida, Bailey, and several estranged grandchildren. Larry was lovingly referred to as ‘Papaw’ and fit the role for everyone who wanted it, bringing love and laughter wherever he went. He leaves us a legacy of kindness far too great to capture with words. We invite you to come and share some of those precious memories and to sing in his honor if you wish.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 10-11am in the chapel of Mott-McKamey Funeral Home in Oak Ridge with the Funeral Service to follow at 11am. Brother Darrell Griffis officiating.
